Héctor Bitar was born in Mexico City where he earned his degree in business administration at the Universidad Iberoamericana (1995) and in architecture at the Universidad Anahuac del Norte (2002). In 2002 he founded Bitar Architects Firm and from 2011 to 2013, combined architectural practice with his work as an artist. Today he is dedicated exclusively to being an artist.
Bitar has had exhibitions at the Center for Architecture and Design, Mexico City; State Council for Culture and the Arts of Hidalgo, Mexico; Pilar Cubillo Gallery, Madrid; Center for Art and Culture Pippal, Mexico City; Casa Lamm Gallery, Mexico City; Senate of the Republic (Mexico), Mexico City; and Same Casita Maria Center for the Arts and Education, New York; Longhouse Projects Gallery, New York. His works are included in public and private collections in Mexico, North America, Europe and the Middle East.
